primary design

Ok, heres the scoop everyone.  For some reason i can never seem to make a
decent primary coil. 

My powersupply is 10kv at ~130ma 

the tank cap is .033uf 

my secondary is 902 turns of #24 wire on a 4.5 in OD PCV pipe

i have a static (3 gap) unquenched spark gap

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about building a primary coil for
these specs.

I have onky used the standard vertical primary in the past, i was thinking
about going with a saucer or flat primary.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
