[Fwd: Fair Radio Spark gap]

Hi all,

I've not been keeping up with the list lately, so possibly this is
already well-known. If not :-

I noticed on their first 'feature items' page that Fair Radio Sales have
a very nice-looking "12.5 kV RF Spark gap" for $50. It looks like it
must be a vaccuum gap, and is manufactured by Joslyn Electronic Systems
(?) for Collins (!) Love Collins gear, as the once proud owner of a
KWM1. Overall dimensions 12.5" long x 5" dia.

For a pic, go to http://www.fairradio-dot-com/0ad-969.htm **

I have ordered one today to play with (so don't all you people get in
before me).

They also have some 'hockey-puck' caps at 4nF 20kV for $17 ea & 4nF 40kV
-at- $25 ea. So I got some of the 40kV caps as well. Nice & compact, &
might be good for short runs on a little coil.

Just thought some of you might like to know.

Cheers,

Phil C.

Perhaps they took the link down after Phil snatched the gap ;-)) - Terry
