Electrum works around 30-something kHz if I remember rightly. If 
you visit LOD's website, I think the pros and cons of building ever 
larger coils is mentioned there in connection with the advanced 
lightning facility. Again if I remember it has something to do with 
running into the law of diminishing returns.
