Hi Jon...
to start with you have an asynchronous gap.... 1800 rpm or 3600
rpm running at 60Hz is synchronous
the break rate is the number of gap posts ( in your case 4) X the (rpm's
/ Hz)
so for example ... 4 X ( 1725/60) = 115 BPS ( breaks per second)
