ok....then #4 AWG is 4 thou?......dem B I G TEXAS INCHES over there :)

Actually I believe that the AWG has some esoteric math to it, like American 
Gun Guages. A 12 Guage gun means that 12 Steel (or is it lead?) balls the 
diameter of the barrel weigh 1 pound, at least that's the way I heard it 
back in hunter's safety when I was 12.

Wire guage also get's bigger as the nimber get's smaller, though not at the 
same rate as a gun barrel so it must be a different scale.

hmmmm......I need some .22 calibre copper ground cable :)
