plate caps/water

hello all,
one thing that i am thinking of doing with my plate caps/mineral oil is
to buy a few cans of flower drying agent, silica gel, like those "do not
eat"s. i thought if i soldered a pipe onto a quart jar lid then hooked a
tube from this to the spout of my bucket, this would absorb any moisture
that the oil had absorbed. i definitely did loose one hawg cap due to
moisture in the oil.
maybe a tip for oil poly cap users,     marc
