Hi Thomas,
Your question can have many answers... Check the following for basic cap
information;
http://home.earthlink-dot-net/~electronxlc/tccalc.html#tank
http://www.monmouth-dot-com/~grimcorona/capacito.htm
http://members.xoom-dot-com/_XOOM/GrandSearch/tesla.html
http://www.breakfix.demon.co.uk/tesla_cap1.html
http://www.hills2.u-net-dot-com/tesla/tccap.htm
Be very sure to check out the newer MMC caps before you get into all the
oily poly stuff!!!! MMCs are much better and they are the preferred cap
type these days...
Here are a few pages that detail their construction. There are many more
but these are the ones I had handy:
http://people.ne.mediaone-dot-net/lau/tesla/mmc_cap.htm
http://users.better-dot-org/roverstreet/components/cap.html
http://www.peakpeak-dot-com/~terryf/tesla/misc/ltr/
http://www.peakpeak-dot-com/~terryf/tesla/misc/MMCPower4.html
http://www.peakpeak-dot-com/~terryf/tesla/misc/phe428.pdf
http://tesla.better-dot-org/mmc_form.cfm
If you can be more specific, we can also be much more specific as to what
you need...
Cheers,
Terry
