I'm a member of the town's rescue squad and just came from a lecture
given by the local utility company.

The guy giving the lecture suited up in the following before going NEAR
a 15/60 NST.

10KV Booties
20KV Lineman's Sleeves
20KV Gloves
Safety Glasses
Hard Hat (?)

and stood on a 40KV mat.

He did however proceed to coax arcs with pieces of cable, rope, tree
branches etc., held in his hand. 
(How many can say screwdriver and don't dress like this?)


His table top model was set up to look like a set of utility poles and
lines, complete with little pole pig models. :-)
