Jon, you would kill the NST for sure.  The insulation (coil-to-core) can
just barely handle the rated secondary voltage, and would not survive this
abuse. You would also saturate the core, and probably burn out the primary
coil.  You can run a 120v NST from a variac that goes up to 140 volts, but
go much beyond this it will fail in a hurry.
