I have experimented with different breakout points, from pins, to what i am using now, a 3/4" brass sphere attatched to a 1/4" rod. I found that the sphere allowed the coil to ring to a higher voltage before breakout, whereas the sharp point didn't. I gained am inch or two using the rounded surface. chris
