           there are no limits on the power you can put into a coil - but at
some point the sec'll give up.  For a laugh I'm planning to run a 4" by 14"
sec off my 12kVA system, just to see how long i can get the arc before it
dies.

Once in a while something 'off beat' catches my interest on this List.
Your proposed experiment which will evaluate the extreme corner of the
power envelope of a small secondary caught my sincere interest.
 
Please share your results with us!  There may be laughter, and I'm sure
everyone enjoys a good fireworks display (be sure to get it all on video!),
but at the same time there will be new ground explored.  I am always
interested in this corner of the envelope!
