Re: Skin effect and other phenomenon



the "skin effect"  refers to the fact that as the frequency gets higher,
the penetration of the current into the conductor is reduced.  It doesn't
have anything to do with voltage (in fact, when working with microwave
signals in very low power amplifiers (femtowatts), I deal with skin effect
all the time).

Sure there are lots of effects of high voltage, though.  The most
noticeable is corona discharge.
