I have a 3/8" bolt sticking out of my secondary's end baffle. The torroid is
just bolted on. Electrically, and mechanically it is a good joint.

 I have heard of someone using a up-side-down plastic
party cup, covered in foil to support the toroid, i
just rested mine rite ontop of the secondary, and it
worked fine.
