Hi Josh & All! 
        Yes, hydrogen is volatile, inflammable, reactive, and atomically 
extremely small. This means that: 
1) Hydrogen will eventually leak thru the walls of any container it is in. 
2) Hydrogen will react with any residues from the right-hand side of the 
periodic table, except the 'noble gasses', left in the tube. usually 
violently if in a plasma form.
