Toroid construction

Hi all,
 
I had success making a toroid out of poly drainage pipe by "welding" the ends
together with a soldering iron.
I then covered the whole thing with plaster, and when dry sanded it down real
smooth, ready for the foil covering.
The centre was plywood, cut on the bandsaw.
