After testing the new cap from Sundog and the NST I have, I mounted the NST
inside the case and hooked it up and noticed that the sparks were slightly
shorter as if the proximity of the NST ~7" was warping the magnetic field of
the flat primary. 

Maybe, a setup where the NST were external or positioned differently, would
be more efficient.
