Garry,

I like the laughing tan rodents explanation.  Larger Than Resonant
or matched value cap.  If your matched (resonant) cap size is 
0.0088uF, then anything significantly larger is LTR.  LTR caps
reduce the voltage that the cap and NST has to deal with, and
can help prevent failure.  Also, if the gap fails to fire, the voltage
will drop, instead of rising.
