Um, not that I want to nit-pick or anything, but a magnetic field hasn't got
a voltage, nor has it got current...

The idea behind the plastic is that it stops electric arcs / streamers /
sparks / longbrightbluehotelectricthings from hitting the primary, but it is
utterly transparent to magnetic fields.
