little light, secondary gauge ?

Hi all,
I've been changing my secondary, since it wouldn't run for a bit, so far 
the best I could get out of it is about  2 or 3 inches from a needle into
the air
 
Now is it that the sec. wire is to thin, or is it something else ?
 
specs :
 
primary 6 mm dik 4mm tussen de wikkeling
senondary 0,24mm dik over 9 inch dikte van PVC pijp 60 mm
tank cap 26 nF
2 MOT's in serie met 1 MOT als ballast  zonder doubler
topload 1 turoid d=3"  D=8.5"
1 spark gap 40 mm rond stalen kogels
