Re: 1999 Teslathon joint project
Hi Mike:
I used to have a model 100 TC that was very similar to yours. We had a sec
coil wound with #18 AWG and used a 20 x 5 inch toroid atop it. Primary was
copper tubing running a .05 MFD cap through a synchronous RSG powered by a 5
kVA pole pig. Output was a nice solid 6 1/2 ft. long spark. Primary was 12
turns and final tap actually worked out at turn # 5 so the remaining turns
were removed at a later date. It's best just to use approx 15 turns of
scrap #10 AWG until you find the resonance point and then replace with the
nice shiny copper tubing or copper strap. Pri to Sec spacing was 1 1/2
inches with sec lowest turn starting 1 1/2 inches above the top of primary
winding --- to produce proper coupling without over coupling.
For reference our website at www.Resonanceresearch-dot-com where you can be "Big
Bruiser" in action with 6.2 meter sparks.
Hope this information is of assistance.
Regards,
Dr.Resonance
