Hi All,
         feel free to correct me if I am wrong but the tesla experiments at 
collorado springs were designed to transmit power to the ionosphere.  The 
idea was that the top terminal should be big enough to allow the coil to be 
capacitively coupled to the ionosphere.  Despite all my efforts I still do 
not have a copy of 'The Compiled Lectures and Works of N.Tesla'  therefore 
can not give you numbers for this.  I suspect that there are probably people 
on the list who can?
