Well, the same things happened to me. The safety gap fired and then,
nothing. and when I tried the transformer, it was working fine. I checked
the capacitors; fine again... and then the truth hit me in the face: I
suspected that the dielectric of one of my caps was punctured, but, the
voltage used by the capacitance meter was to low to go through the
dielectric, and it seemed fine. when I tried each cap with HV, I found that
one had failed. As they are all in parallel, the voltage went through this
one very easily, and the others couldn't build up the charge, and the gap
didn't fire. I bet that is your problem. disconnect your caps and take one
after the other. connect it in parallel with the SG and look at the gap. if
it fires, the cap is good. if it doesen't, the cap isn't good
