In a typical neon sign transformer, center point grounded, the type often 
used for Tesla Coils, does the polarity of the input matter? That is, using 
an extension cord with one end stripped down to make the connection to the 
transformer's primary, does it matter which of the two deceivingly similar 
wires hooks onto which of the deceivingly similar terminls? Please help. 
Call it amateur paranoia, but I fear burning out my transformer. It's a two 
hour drive to get a new one.
