Copper strap is solid copper sheet, not woven like braid. The stuff I use was scrap from an AM radio station ground system installation. It is 4 inches wide and 0.022 inches thick. The pieces I have are a few feet long, but the original roll weighed several hundred pounds. 2 inches is also commonly used. Check the yellow pages under metals and copper.
