Nick,

I've run up to 950 bps or so, and I've noticed
that the overall efficiency was low, and the sparks jump around
frantically. It took a tremendous amount of input power to get the
same spark length as I get at 120 bps at much lower power inputs
(about 3 times the amount of power was required at the high break
rates). Also, the sparks will coalesce into just one streamer with
a smaller toroid when running high break rates, and the sparks may
be brighter than at lower break rates. This all assumes that your
power supply can supply enough current to charge the cap
adequately.
