paralleling sec wire

I am looking to wind a larger secondary than my current 4.5" X 16", and I
allready have an amount of 24 gauge magnet wire. I'd like to parallel two
lengths of the wire, and this seems feasable, but just checking to see
ifa nyone has any reasons why I shouldn't do this.
