Re: Panasonic polypropylene caps
In the post below the two dielectrics are compared at 1 khz. Mention is
made of
the folks not specifying the polyester at anything higher. This is because
the
stuff is crap much above that becoming like a big nichrome resistor in the RF
range. Polyester has allowed the world to enjoy very large capacitances at
very
high voltages in relatively small packages for filtering purposes below
500hz.
It should not be used for power purposes much above that.
