Kent,
    Your transformer(OBIT?) would probably do well with a 0.0066 uF primary
cap for matching the impedance for resonant charging. You could use more
primary turns to make up for the lesser capacitance.  I would also suggest
that you consider a larger topload in the future.  You may see(if running your
coil in the dark) a lot of corona loss with just a 1 inch diameter topload.  
      You might also consider using an array of polypropylene capacitors like
that  which Terry F. has been speaking of.  It might turn out to be a cheap
way to get the necessary capacitance.
