Re: Volatge rating of caps in VTTC
Thanks, Dave. One thing that was suggested to me to keep in mind was the
voltages that the plate cap may ring up too... ...is this really a
problem in a VTTC? The same source also said that i could replace the
micas with low-loss PP or PE caps. That would seem to me to be alright,
as they work for tank caps in conventional coils!
Reducing the voltage strength and using PE/PP (MMC) would further reduce
the cost of making a VTTC, so I hope this is all true!
