Re: Air plate cap
I just thought that if you bent the edges of the
plates away from eachother, and then put the
insulating spacers on the edges, the arcs would stay
away from the edges (and the insulators) since it
would be easier to arc the shorter distance. Of course
that would make the capacitance very hard to figure
out on paper. Another detail is that if the edges were
bent away from eachother, you could not stack the
plates , therefore they would require more room since
it would be like wiring a bunch together in
parallell....
