Hot gloves such as the type in these discussions were not made to work on
live lines. They were made to be an extra layer of protection when working
with hot sticks. Imagine, if you were working with a glove on a live line
and a small sharp single piece of a stranded wire would puncture the glove.
Forget using these gloves to adjust your sparkgap or whatever while the
circuit is under power.
Just wanted to set the record straight --- and perhaps save a few lives.
