Hi John,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I thought of trying different metals in the
in the gap like zinc or aluminum, or Al + Cu, or tungsten, but I had not
thought about using silver. I'll try as many of these as I can, as time
permits, and let you and everyone know if anything different or exciting
happens.
John, thanks a million (volts) for your numerous and informative
experiments and posts. And for answering so many posts in such  a clear
and concise manor that even I can understand.
