dear all,

how do I calculate the primairy cap if my xfrmr is for example 7000 v/
700mA and 5000 v/ 300 mA in series with my variac adjusted to say 30%???

And: has anybody experience with construction of cap with plastic
picnicplates?  easy to replace with failure or to add in case of higher
needed brakedown voltage!!
