Jim,
Those TV ferrites lose their permeablity rapidly over 20KHZ
They're actually powdered iron- very kindred to iron core material.
If it does anything at all, it will make a nice area heater as it absorbs
all
the RF energy from the primary. Unfortunatly, that won't leave much for
the
secondary!
