Sure, a bridge like that would work.  I "pot" mine in oil, though, to make
fixing the inevitable failure easier to fix.  Watch out if charging a cap
with the bridge and then discharging it. The voltage reversal on the cap
goes right through the bridge in reverse and destroys the diodes.
