I have a 1997 catalog from RF Parts Co., San Marcos, CA.  They list
the 833A at $90 and the superior 833C at $102. They also sell the
socket for $37.  You can order by calling 1-800-RF-PARTS, or
(760)-744-0700 if you live in CA, or e-mail them at
<rfp-at-rfparts-dot-com>.

You can get the 833A from just about any Ham Radio dealer.  There are 
probably a dozen or more mail order sources in any QST or CQ magazine.

I've seen used 833's at Ham fests for only a few bucks.  Used sockets 
too.
