So far we've had not even one racing spark on the secondary due to over-K. It
is working well, and I'm not about to build another primary as long as this one
works. I agree that a flat primary would work just fine on this big coil. This
primary is the original Nemesis primary, with the center hogged out for the
larger secondary, and more turns added to the outside to bring the turns count
back up. Our next coil in queue will use a flat primary - either copper or
aluminum strap. I expected a lot of strike rail hits, but we almost never see
them with this large top.
