Magnifier designs require a very short break rate due to their very high
value of coeff. of coupling. Many of the magnifier RSG's actually use
several gaps connected in series to provide very short dwell times. A
static gap with a tremendous amount of airblast might work but its a long
shot compared to standard RSG construction.
