Bill,

I have been using vacuum 3B24s. They are 20 kV PIV -at- 60 mA. A bit
light for you current requirements, but you can easily double or triple
up. Powered by two H&R 5 kV 300 mA transformers. You must current
limit!

I'm now constructing a rectifier using 872 Hg rectifiers. Ten kV PIV -at-
1.25 A. Will power with 5 kW pig. I am winding the merc filament
transformer(s) on an old 12 kV 60 mA old Franceformer NST core, also
using its 120 v primary.
