WOW!! Looks like your onto something really big here!!
I did have a few questions:
The scale on the left of the graph is in inches. However, this does not
seem to make sense for the scale of Primary/Secondary inductance or
Secondary/Primary capacitance?
For example: The Nemesis (Richard Hull) put out 162 inch sparks as
mentioned in Greg Leyh's data. This is what your graph shows. However,
his primary inductance was 101uH and his secondary inductance was 0.11H.
That ratio is 0.0009182 The secondary capacitance works out to 73.43pF
(0.11H and 56kHz) and the primary capacitance was 0.085uF. That ratio is
0.0008639.
It would appear that the Sec/Pri capacitance needs to be multiplied by
~192156 and the Pri/Sec inductance needs to be multiplied by ~177525 and to
fit on the inches graph.
Of course, you were working late and probably pretty excited!! :-)
Please clarify how the ratio of inductances and capacitances were plotted.
