The tube you found is a Diode
Other equivalent numbers are 875A and VT187
It's used as a Half wave Mercury Rectifier
The filament requires 5 volts -at- 10 amps and is on pins 2 & 4
Pins 1 & 3 are not used, the filament acts as the cathode
The plate ratings are 15Kv -at- 1500mAPhil Rembold
