Terry: One possible solution might be using 1/4"D. fiberglass rods to support
the sections of tubing ala Bert Pool's gap design but instead of epoxying them
to a board, mount them in a frame & have them extend through one side. You
could connect the rods together by rubber bands or whatever & drive them from
a small motor causing them to rotate in place. The copper tubing could be
placed on top of the rods & would be turned by their rotation much like the
devices they use to cook hot dogs. The cylinders rotate causing the hot dogs
sitting on top to turn as well. The placement of the rods in the frame would
be very critical to get proper gap spacing but from what I've seen from your
jpeg postings of your equipment you're more than capable of fabricating it.
Just a quick thought - might try it myself now that you've brought up the
idea. Jim
