Staco 5210 hookup?

Alan,
If you want to use clockwise operation & 140v. Then input
on pins 2 & 5, & output on 2 and 3. 2 being the common & 3
being the wiper.
That is if the pins are
1: tap point close to the end of winding
2: outer part of winding(input & output)
3: wiper(output)
4: outer part of winding
5: tap point close to the end of winding(input)
For simple 120v operation then input in pins 2 & 4 and use 2 & 3
for the output. If you want counterclockwise operation simply
reverse the connections on either side on the wiper, using 3 & 4
for the output with 120v, & in on 1 & 4 outs being 3 & 4 for 140v
operation. Hope I managed to confuse you as much as I was when
I was learning how to hook mine up. Oh, one time I did reverse the
input and output and made a reverse light dimmer for the room
& I blew the breaker before anything happened to my variac.
