Chris,
I am in the process of making a choke out of a 3 inch o.d.ferrite
torroid. I am winding each side of the neon on the same torroid. Not
sure about the direction of winding, but I'll let you know what works.
The big delay for me is making the RSG. I've changed the design several
times from info picked up from the list. Hopefully we can get the coil
operational in the next few weeks and test the torroid. This torrid was
used as a choke on a machine tool AC spindle drive.
