Subject: AMIDON toroids??

I just got a catalog today from a surplus company that sells AMIDON ferrite
toroids and iron powder toroids. I automatically looked to see what the
largest diameters on either were. These are the largest diameter they have
for sale: FTC=ferrite core/IPC=iron powder core
FTC-1.142" O.D., 0.750" I.D., 0.295" H /MATERIAL 43(U=850) $2.25
FTC-1.142" O.D., 0.750" I.D., 0.295" H /MATERIAL 61(U=125) $2.25
FTC-1.142" O.D., 0.750" I.D., 0.295" H /MATERIAL 77(U=2000) $2.25
IPC-2.000" O.D., 1.250" I.D., 0.550" H /MATERIAL 2(U=10 CARBONYL "E") $7.80
(2MHZ-30MHZ)
IPC-2.000" O.D., 1.250" I.D., 0.550" H /MATERIAL 6(U=8 CARBONYL "SF") $7.80
(10MHZ-50MHZ)
IPC-2.000" O.D., 1.250" I.D., 0.550" H /MATERIAL 26(U=75) $7.80
(DC-1MHZ (LOW Q))

Now that that is done, here comes a question. Would any of these be good to
wind chokes to protect neons? If so which ones would be idea?

Thanks
Chris
