Subject: GOOD GRADE OF LDPE

Hello All -
I just got off the phone with Ron, a tech rep for Carlisle
Plastics. They manufacture the construction grade poly sheeting which is
stocked at my local Home Depot. I called to ask him if their product in the
10 foot by 25 foot roll was, in fact, polyethylene, since the label just
read "Plastic Sheeting." (Their 100 foot rolls are labeled "Clear
Polyethylene.") You may find what he told me of interest. He said that the
10'X 25' roll was "consumer grade," rather than "construction grade," and
that consumer grade was a higher grade, with more "virgin" material, as
opposed to more recycled mat'l in construction grade. This was good news to
me, as I really didn't want to pop for 100 ft of mat'l when the 25 foot roll
will be plenty of mat'l for my flat plate cap. So - I get the high grade
stuff, AND spend less money! Good way to start the day. TTYL
