Another option is a hot-melt glue gun.  Simply laying down a bead of the
stuff will just peel off, but if you rub the tip of the gun into the PE
to melt it a bit, it will mix with the glue and form a reasonable bond. 
If you're trying to bond thin sheets, it will warp the stuff, again, not
sure of the application.
