Hello, All.
My Dad has come across an unusual device he thought could be used in
Coiling. he would like to sell it if any one is interested. I will attempt
to describe it , but I can send a picture by E- mail which will do much
more than this description. The device is manufactured by BECKMAN
INSTRUMENTS CEDAR GROVE, NJ The Serial # is 69607 Model # DV100KV. I will
attempt to describe it, it is about 3 feet tall consist of a large aluminum
torrid on top mounted on a clear plastic cylinder (Plexi) about 8 inches
diameter, with 112 plastic cases mounted on plastic rods in the side of the
cylinder. The cases contain 100 Ohm wire wound resistors. I have been told
it was used to test instruments.
The Large Torrid my be the most useful thing for coil builders. The
cylinder has been drilled for the plexi rods that hold the cases of
resistors and are glued in, I suppose they could be cut off flush and it
could be used for a coil form. Dad is asking $50.00 plus shipping. I have
sent messages to Beckman to see if they can identify it. Anyone interested
in pictures or purchase please E-mail me. Thanks.
