Hi again folks, I've been off the usa-tesla list since I finished my last
coil back in summer '95, and it seems dead now, so I've joined this one.
:-)

My question for today is:

I have a medium size coil that I wish to take around with me for
demonstrations. By medium-sized I mean it is a 4.5" dia by 24" coil
firing off 2 foot sparks with input from a 12kV/60mA neon. Outdoors, I
have just been running a short piece braid from the coil to a 4 foot
piece of copper tubing I hammer into the ground, but I really don't know
anything about RF earth grounding or about what I am doing. I'm an EE,
and I know the all basics, but when it comes to specifics I am an Audio
and DSP guy; much more of a mathematician and programmer than power
engineer.

What I need is a solution for grounding indoors, especially one that will
prevent damage to equipment that may be on the same power line, spoken
from experience. Are powerline filtering chokes a big help?
