They have 1Kg rolls, all guagues - cheaper than RS.
They also do a high-voltage enamel grade called HT200, not in the
catalogue, about #1/kilo extra. I think they can supply bigger reels
on request - handy for big coils!

Wickes stock a 3 x 4 M sheet of heavy gauge poly (0.14mm), I think
about a fiver.

I think the pipework side is now done by British Gas Transco. Most of
the roadside gas pipe work I've seen recently is is done by a
subcontractor called Alhco (or Ahlco), so they would be worth
contacting for offcuts.
